See The Drone That Is Years Ahead Of Google And Facebook

Many parts of the world are without Internet coverage. Many companies, including Google, Facebook and SpaceX have been working hard on various projects to bring Internet to more than one-third of the world’s population.

However, there are a whole bunch of challenges to keep an unmanned aircraft flying above commercial airlines, a solar-powered or electric type that can stay airborn for months or even years.

As you may know, Airbus is developing a high-altitude, solar-powered drone that can stay aloft indefinitely. It could deliver wireless service where towers are too hard or too expensive to maintain. It’s called Zephyr 8.

In this video, the Airbus Engineering team tells you their incredible story of making an Internet drone.
