Electric Scooter Maker INU Opens Office In Silicon Valley
How One Company Is Trying to Completely Change Your Daily Commute.
Nobody actually likes commuting anywhere: the long bus or car rides and endless traffic, not to mention the pollution. Transportation has started to evolve though. More and more people are starting to invest in alternatives modes of getting around, whether it’s electric bikes, scooters, or even hoverboards as a daily means of transportation.
That’s why INU is now entering the market, with its automatic folding scooter targeting the premium market, and you can now see it for yourself in Palo Alto. Green Ride, the makers of INU, are also taking reservations, and in a few months time you may experience city travel in a whole different way.
INU is designed from bolt to frame with an aim to put the rider at the center of the user experience. It comes with a phone dock, GPS and even GSM. You might wonder why someone needs GPS navigation if you have phone GPS. The thing is that phone GPS is not that reliable, especially for long rides. Moreover, GPS companies can provide great options for your motorcycle GPS. It’s still currently in prototype phase, but you can reserve one online at a discounted rate. Of course, the downside is that you’ll have to wait until it rolls out in fall 2017.
“The opening of our showroom in Palo Alto is a transformative moment for us,” said Green Ride’s CEO Ori Dadoosh. “Our team has put in so much work and countless hours perfecting the INU’s design and advanced technology. We are excited to begin sharing it with the world.”
However, its high tech and high-end approach does come with a matching price tag. The INU retails at $2999, $3999, and $4999 with respect to the different models and how much distance they can travel. INU charges from 0 to 100% in about three hours and can travel 12, 18, and 24 miles respectively. However, all models are limited to 15.5mph in order to meet safety standards, but this also means that riders won’t need a motorcycle license in order to use it.
