BMW Launch It’s Own Electric ZipCar Competitor in San Francisco
At EV Week 2014 not only did we get to test drive an electric BMWi3 we also interviewed the folks over at BMW about their car sharing service DriveNow which provides electric BMW’s you can drive between San Francisco and Palo Alto/Mountain View for a small membership fee. You pay a one-time $39 membership fee to join and use their app to find a car nearest to you.
This is an innovative move from BMW as car manufactures come to terms with Generation Y who would rather live in a city and Uber everywhere versus own their own cars.
Given Zipcars can sometimes be stinky, I would much rather drive in a BMW plus electric means keeping our beautiful city emission free!
