Racing Driver J.P. Montoya Says No to Head-Up Displays In Helmets
Continuing our coverage of the Verizon IndyCar series, we sat down with racing driver J.P. Montoya who told us about the technology he would most like to see in the cars.
Surprisingly, when we asked him if he would use a heads-up display like Google Glass or the heads-up integrated company Skully Helmets, we recently reported on, he said “No, we tried that in Formula 1 but it didn’t work, because you don’t need that much information when you are driving.” Sounds like its information overload for the racing drivers.
