New Rolls-Royce Dawn Revealed As Its Sexiest Car Ever
Quite simply, it is the sexiest Rolls-Royce ever built,” the luxury carmaker said in a release. They are bringing the sexy back. The world’s only true modern four-seater super-luxury drop head was inspired by its vintage counterpart, the 1952 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, which is considered to be one of the rarest cars in the world. Only 28 custom orders of the car were fulfilled between 1950 and 1954.
The new Dawn is equipped with a 6.6-liter, 12-cylinder engine with twin superchargers and an eight-speed transmission.
The new vehicle draws inspiration from the Silver Dawn designed by Park Ward, whose creation became the first Rolls-Royce to be made with a factory-built body. Supposedly, the new ultra-luxury vehicle is “the quietest open-top car ever made,” the company said in a news release.
The four-seat, 5,644-pound vehicle boasts 563 horsepower and 575 pounds-feet of torque, with a top speed of 155 miles per hour. Oh yeah, this car goes pretty fast too. It can go from 0 to 160 in 4.9 seconds. Combined fuel economy in the city and highway is 19.9 miles per gallon. You won’t have to hire a driver to drive you around. This car is designed to drive yourself.
