So, Lexus believes that they can make a non-wheel vehicle just as good as their four-wheel sedans. The Japanese automaker has presented the latest example from its “Amazing in Motion” series of video spectacles: the Lexus Hoverboard. This project has been in development over the last 18 months.

The Lexus Hoverboard uses magnetic levitation to achieve amazing frictionless movement. Amazingly, liquid nitrogen cooled superconductors and permanent magnets combine to allow the company to create the impossible.

The hoverboard appears in a design that is uniquely Lexus. It features the iconic Lexus spindle grille signature shape, using materials found in the luxury cars, from the high tech to the natural bamboo. There is not that much information about this special project, but Lexus promises to disclose new images and videos weekly.
