Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG Coupe
Starting price: $215,500
The 2015 S65 AMG coupe is among the most fetching and luxurious vehicles on the planet, with almost ridiculous levels of equipment. The engine in the Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG Coupe is a handcrafted V-12. The AMG tradition is that the individual master craftsman who builds each engine puts his signature on it when he’s finished. That’s not to say the end product is some quaint relic. Top speed is 186 mph, not bad for a car that could be used as a family car, unlike a two-seat racecar.
There is a standard head-up display, Benz’s new touchpad COMAND system, a 360-degree parking camera, active park assist, Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, AMG-exclusive Nappa leather interior trimmings, a Burmester surround-sound audio system, and a 12.2-inch color TFT center display.
Ferrari 458 Spider
Starting price: $257,412
The 458 Spider is the folding-hardtop convertible version of Ferrari’s magnificent 458 Italia coupe. The car offers an open-air experience for those who prefer the wind in their faces and the scream of their Ferrari exhaust as loud as the bright red paint job.
Pretty identical in most respects to the Italia, the Spider a sonorous 4.5-liter direct-injection V8 that shifts through a seven-speed dual-clutch automated-manual transmission. The V8 cranks out 562 horsepower at a staggering 9,000 rpm and 398 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm, which combines with its 3,153 lbs curb weight to help the 458 Spider scoot to 62 mph in just under 3.4 seconds.
McClaren 650S
Starting price: $265,000
The 650S is officially an additional model in McLaren’s growing portfolio and the 12C, which launched the brand’s bid to compete with Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche at the top of the supercar league, continues to be available.
At top speed on the 650S is 204 miles per hour, with a whopping 500 lb-ft of torque and 641 horsepower 25 more than the 12C. It can even undergo McLaren Tuning, making it an even smoother drive. It’ll go 0-62mph in 3 seconds on a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with McLaren’s seven-speed double-clutch (paddle-shifting) gearbox.
Aston Martin Vanquish
Starting price: $287,820
The 2015 Vanquish is equipped with the new generation AM29 V12 engine the most powerful GT production engine in Aston Martin history. 568 bhp of power. 201 mph top speed. 0-60mph in just 3.6 secs. Vanquish has the greatest performance numbers ever reached in an Aston Martin, it’s not a Grand Tourer, its a Super Grand Tourer.

Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe

Phantom Coup’s sporting credentials are evident at first glance – the powerful profile and low-slung carriage give an instant impression of strength.
There are two additional offerings in the Phantom family: a coupe and the drophead, Brit-speak for soft top. Both are based on a shortened Phantom chassis and seat four. The coupe offers an LED Starlight headliner option that brings the constellations inside. The drophead is inspired by 1930s yacht design, with a lined fabric top and optional teak decking.
Hennessey Venom GT
Starting price: $1.1 million
The engineers over at Hennessey know what fast means. This little company has produced the fastest ever production car. capable of 271 mph.
They say everything is bigger in Texas and the Lone Star State-based tuning house is happy to that statement correct.
The Venom GT is filled with enough horsepower to stretch across the Lone Star State itself, packing a mind-blowing 1,500 horsepower mined from a poisonous 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. 0-60 is pegged at two seconds. The riotous acceleration doesn’t end there, though, the Venom claims a top speed of 287 mph.
Koenigsegg One
Starting price: $2.0 million
The Koenigsegg One business model has really paid off because it has just achieved a very impressive automotive first, a one-to-one power-to-weight ratio in a road car.
This insane machine weighs just 1,340 kilograms and puts out 1,340 horsepower. And that weight includes a full complement of fluids and an average driver. This is one of the fastest accelerating cars, and possibly plane, that money can buy. To go from 0 to 250 mph in under twenty seconds and a claimed potential top speed of 273 mph or more.
In short, there might be more luxurious cars on this list, but there is none that can hold a candle in raw performance.
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Ettore Bugatti
Starting price: $3.2 million
This is the last of the Bugatti Legends series. Production will be limited to three cars. It is named for Ettore Bugatti, the founder of the Italian marque, and is based on the Bugatti Type 41 Royale.
Powering the final Legend is a 1,183-horsepower 8.0-liter W16 engine with a maximum speed of 254 mph with the roof down.
The body sports a “yin-yang” color split. The front part is made of hand-polished aluminum and finished with a clear coating. The rest gets a dark-blue exposed carbon finish. Rounding out the exterior are polished, diamond-cut wheel rims that match the body with a dark-blue finish.
Lykon Hypersport
Starting price: $3.4 million
The Dubai based company W Motors are planning to make seven of these. It is the first supercar to be produced in the Middle East. The cause of the car’s expensive price tag is due to its included options. It is the first car to have diamonds in its headlights. The front lights are made up of titanium LED blades with 420 diamonds (15cts). The Lykan Hypersport is powered by a flat 6 twin-turbo engine, which produces 750 horsepower, and takes you from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds with an estimated top speed of 245 mph.
Lamborghini Veneno
Starting price: $4.5 million
It may not be the most beautiful supercar, but it is still one of the coolest. This hypercard is based loosely on the Aventador. But the Veneno isn’t all looks and no go. The name is Spanish for “poison” and boy is that appropriate.
The Veneno gets you from 0 to 60 mph in a swift 2.8 seconds allowing you to hit a top speed of 221 mph. Only three cars are being made available every year.
If you want to own this hyper-supercar, you will have to be placed on a waiting list along with other aficionados.
