SAMSUNG SMART BIKE CONCEPT

As technology progresses, more and more objects are becoming “smart“… why not a bike?

Shown to the public for the first time at the 2014 milan design week, the concept is that of an Arduino-powered Samsung Smart Bike.

At first I’ll admit I thought the idea wasn’t too clever, but after watching their brief intro video, I could see it really becoming mainstream down the line and increasing safety by a great margin.

The bike was designed by the world-renowned Italian frame-builder Giovanni Pelizzoli and his student Alice Biotti through the Samsung Maestros Academy.

The features are pretty cool: rear view camera, laser beams that form a bike lane, navigation, tracking and an aluminum frame that helps absorb bumps.

They might as well buff it up with some tech to recharge your phone via kinetic energy generated from pedaling. Why not.
