James Bond’s New Ride: The Aston Martin DB10

James Bond has driven a plenty of iconic vehicles in his time as a 00 Agent, but he never seems more in his element than when he’s driving an Aston Martin.

As details surrounding the forthcoming James Bond installment – dubbed Spectre – come to light, British automaker Aston Martin fills us in by unveiling a look at the spy’s newest auto toy.  The DB10 draws on the silhouette of the existing V8 Vantage, yet refines the shape with more streamlined lines. A team of engineers and designers “worked closely” with Spectre director Sam Mendes, who also helmed the 2012 Bond reboot Skyfall, to develop the Aston Martin Martin DB10.

“In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond,” said Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer in a statement.

“To be partnering once again with EON Productions is great news for this company and for everyone around the world that loves to see Bond at the wheel of an Aston Martin.”

With only 10 models of the car going to production, Bond will have to be a bit more careful in the field than perhaps he’s used to. Look for the DB10 when it debuts in Spectre, due in theaters on November 2015.
