The Average Bugatti Customer Has About 84 Cars, 3 Jets And One Yacht
Few people in the world can own a Bugatti Veyron, even millionaires would think twice before they shell out the amount needed to own one. As a matter of fact, only 300 of each variant are created and available on the market.
The cost for a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is a whopping $1,700,000–and that’s just the stock version with no options. This car is now the most expensive street-legal production vehicle that was tested and approved in July of 2010, using the Super Sport Version.
In the recent interview with Bloomberg News, Sir Wolfgang Duerheimer, Bentley CEO and President of Bugatti, unveiled “The clientele between Bentley and Bugatti is remarkably different. The Bentley customer on average owns 8 cars. The average Bugatti customer has about 84 cars, 3 jets and one yacht.”
What really makes this car in the forefront of all Super Cars?
- Design – When you see a Bugatti Veyron for the first time, the most distinct feature you will notice is its sleek and racy design. Volkswagen CEO, Ferdinand Piech, made strict demands about this: the designers were to revive the heritage of European Bugatti with this new super sports car. The Bugatti Veyron full length is 4.5 meters (14.7 feet), and the auto engineers who created the chassis claimed that this could give the Veyron the perfect balance it needed. Typically, it has a mid-engine that is elevated beneath the chassis and because it honors a great heritage, it followed the classic two-tone color scheme. The most popular color combination for this car is black and maroon.
- Engine – It has a unique W-16 engine meticulously crafted to produce 1,001hp. With that type of engine, the car can easily reach a top speed of 250+ MPH. That speed is faster than a commercial jet plane on a runway taking off.
- Acceleration – the Veyron can also accelerate from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds and 0 to 180 in 14 seconds; that makes it the fastest supercar accelerating in the least amount of time. However, in order to deliver those figures it needs to burn 5 liters (1.3 gallons) of gasoline per minute.
- Fuel Consumption – Most supercars are obviously fueling hogs but not with a Bugatti Veyron. The car gives you the choice between speed and fuel economy. By choosing fuel economy for city driving, you can expect the amount of gasoline at least 0.105 gallons per mile, while the fuel consumption is 0.2 gallons per mile on open highways.
Yet the Bugatti Veyron unites the dichotomy of elegant form and high-tech function, of grace and power, and aesthetics and safety in perfect harmony.
The Bugatti Veyron, once again, is an extraordinary automobile that can only be described in superlative terms. Share your comments with us.
